My Kickstarter project ended last night and was funded 802% of the original $400.00 goal! I am still in shock. I probably sound like a broken record right now, but thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who helped make this happen. You have literally kick-started my independent art career and have made it possible for me to shoot for a dream I've had since I was a wee Nikki. Your love, encouragement and support means the world to me. I won't let you down ♥
So, what happens now? In a word: ART. Lots and lots and lots of art. I have been working every day on prints, pins, keychains and all the necessary accouterments for my table at Austin Comic Con. The convention is October 26, 27th & 28th (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) in downtown Austin, TX, so if any of you are close by please consider swinging in!
One last note regarding the Kickstarter: Thanks to the overwhelming support, I will now also have an Artist Alley table this year for Ikkicon 2012 in Austin! If all goes well there, I may also be at Dallas A-Kon in June of 2013 as well. Honestly, a dream come true, you guys!
And nowww, I want to take a moment to tell you about out a contest that's going on over at Alice-vs-Alice-FC - It is their first contest and the theme is Alice vs. ALICE: Halloween! There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, which include a sketch card and 8x10 character commissions drawn up by yours truly! So put your spooky pants on and doodle up the Wonderland gals! Here is the link to the Alice vs. ALICE Halloween contest!
All for now, I'm off to work on prints!
OH I ALMOST FORGOT! I now have a Facebook Page! You can follow me here!
